We’re excited to make composting easier and more accessible in the Upper Florida Keys. Starting November 17 through February 6, residents can participate in a new food waste drop-off pilot program designed to reduce food waste and protect the environment. Join us in diverting waste from landfills and working towards a sustainable Monroe County!

1. Ocean Studies Charter School, 11-27 Rock Harbor Dr, Key Largo (behind playground)
2. Atlantic Trash & Transfer, 300 Atlantic Dr, Key Largo
3. Coral Isles Church, 90001 Overseas Hwy, Tavernier (behind fellowship hall)
How It Works
Composting at home has never been easier!
- Register for the program by completing the form below to receive the access code for your chosen location.
- Collect your food scraps at home in a kitchen caddy or container of your choice.
- Drop off on your own schedule at your chosen Food Waste Drop-off Station in Key Largo or Tavernier Key.
