Starting November 17 through February 27, residents of the Upper Florida Keys can participate in a new food waste drop-off pilot program designed to reduce food waste and protect the environment. Join us in diverting waste from landfills and working towards a sustainable Monroe County!

Brought to you by Monroe County in partnership with Soilmate Composting. Sponsored by Baptist Health and a generous donation from a local resident.

2. Atlantic Trash & Transfer, 300 Atlantic Dr, Key Largo

3. Coral Isles Church, 90001 Overseas Hwy, Tavernier (behind fellowship hall)

How It Works

Composting at home has never been easier!

  1. Register for the program by completing the form below to receive the access code for your chosen location.
  2. Collect your food scraps at home in a kitchen caddy or container of your choice.
  3. Drop off on your own schedule at your chosen Food Waste Drop-off Station in Key Largo or Tavernier Key.
